Solomon Vice President to Speak at Middle East Refining Technology Conference

Leading benchmarking and energy advisory services firm vice president to speak at industry conference in Bahrain.

DALLAS, TEXAS – 20 January 2017 – Solomon announced that Steve McCoskey, Vice President, Middle East Operations, is scheduled to speak at the Middle East Refining Technology Conference (MERTC) in Manama, Bahrain on 23–24 January 2017.

Mr. McCoskey’s “Optimization of the Integrated Refinery/Chemical Site” presentation focuses on future challenges and opportunities facing the Refining and Petrochemical industries. During the presentation, he will discuss the following topics:

  • Defining the Integrated Site
  • Understanding the Challenges
  • Key Risk Drivers
  • Success Factors

His speech will highlight how maximized value creation in the petroleum industries has been and will continue to be a moving target. It will also show how significant press has been devoted in recent months to the integrated “chemicals refinery.” This keynote address will then cover some of the opportunities and challenges facing owners and operators considering such a decision and the consequences to the industry.

Mr. McCoskey’s responsibilities for the Middle East Bahrain office include managing Solomon’s benchmarking activities, advisory services assignments, and portfolio maximization contracts. Prior to joining Solomon, he was employed by Eastman Chemical for 32 years serving in engineering, operations, and business management roles, and has more than 40 years of practice in the petrochemical and energy industries globally with proven leadership, as well as operational and project management experience.

Mr. McCoskey is highly adept at developing and implementing corporate solutions to technical, financial, and political issues for energy industry clients.
